Civil Advance Deposit Costs & Filing and Other
Fees
The prices reflected below are effective August 15, 2006, pursuant to
La. R.S. 13:841 as amended by Act 243 of the 2006 Regular Legislative
Session. For assistance with calculating costs for your pleading
or filing, call (504) 736-8391.
All fees in this
matter will be charged in accordance with Louisiana R.S. 13:841 and
other relevant statutes. If you believe these charges might be
incorrect, contact our office at (504) 364-2655 or (504) 364-2902 for a
formal review. At any time during litigation, any party may request and
obtain a cost breakdown and copy of the docket ledger from the civil
suit accounting department.
Please note that the balance reflected on the docket ledger may not
include outstanding charges yet to be deducted.
Please note that this fee schedule is
intended only as a guide to assist one in estimating costs. If one
is filing multiple pleadings, along with exhibits, etc., he/she should
contact the appropriate docket area prior to filing in order to
ascertain the correct amount to be remitted.

Service Copies
If service of a
pleading is required, the Clerk's office must certify TWO service copies
of said pleading. Certification costs for each service copy are $5.00
per document. If the Clerk's office has to make the copies,
certification costs are $5.00 per document plus copy cost. If the
clerk’s copies can be computer-generated, the cost is $.50 per page.
Otherwise, the cost is $1.00 per page.
When filing, please provide extra copy for return to your office with a
self-addressed stamped envelope.
