The Jefferson Parish
clerk of court is the ex-officio clerk of the Jefferson Parish Juvenile
Court. The receiving/records department is responsible for assisting
attorneys, parish & state agencies, and the general public with
records retrieval and maintenance, furnishing information as needed, and
filing motions, petitions, etc. relative to proceedings filed with the clerk
of court. The issuing department prepares subpoenas and court
notices, certifications, and other articles such as citations, motions,
rules and attachments. Minute clerks take all minutes of each court
session. An adoption clerk processes records from initial
filing through completion and also assists attorneys and the general
public. |
