Pursuant to La. R.S. 44:33.1, the Jefferson Parish Clerk of Court publishes the name and contact information of its custodian of public records.
Civil, criminal, traffic, marriage license, and mortgage & conveyance records are available for public examination at each department’s respective filing and research office, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. No appointment is needed. Access to records is free; patrons pay only for copies. Online access to many records is available via JeffNet, the clerk’s subscription-based remote access service.
Juvenile Court records are under the purview of Juvenile Court. Persons wishing to view those records may need to petition the court for access.

Persons requesting documents pursuant to La. R.S. 44:1 will be charged $1.00 per page for copies, or may schedule a time to examine the records in person at no charge, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
