The Louisiana Clerks’ Remote Access Authority (LCRAA) provides free public access to clerk of court indices across all Louisiana parishes — including mortgage and conveyance, civil, and marriage license records. Users are directed to individual clerk websites to access document images.
LCRAA is useful for anyone searching records across multiple parishes without visiting individual courthouses or websites.

Under La. R.S. 13:754 (as amended by Act 202 of the 2018 Regular Session), all clerks of court collect a $5.00 fee per recorded instrument. This fee is charged once per instrument regardless of the number of book classifications the document receives. The fee supports technology infrastructure, back-imaging, data preservation, and e-recording initiatives statewide.
