JeffWatch is a free online monitoring service from the Jefferson Parish Clerk of Court that alerts you when a document is recorded against a name or address you’ve registered — helping you detect possible fraudulent activity early.
Property and identity fraud are a growing concern nationwide. Scammers can file fraudulent deeds to make themselves appear as the owner of a property, then sell, mortgage, or rent it without the true owner’s knowledge. JeffWatch gives you an early warning so you can act quickly.
How It Works
- Free service — no cost to subscribe
- Email alerts arrive within 24 hours of a verified document recordation
- Jefferson Parish only — alerts apply to documents recorded in Jefferson Parish; filings in other parishes are not covered
Registration Details
- Register up to 5 name variations and 5 property addresses per email account
- Use shorter name variations to capture broader results — for example, entering “Ed” will match “Eddie,” “Eddy,” and “Edward”
- Subscribers with common names may receive alerts for other individuals sharing the same name
